Resources for Mise-en-scene

The locations

·         Library (lrc)

·         Street

·         House

·         Café

We might need to get permission to use the lrc when it’s in use, also there might be problems with filming on the road because of background noise.

Props

·         A book (included several others)

·         School bag for Ella (Nikki)

·         A bed (for where Ella sleeps)

·         An alarm clock (to wake Ella up)

·         Ribena cartons (for café scene)

·         Keys for Ella house

·         A knife (for when the spirit possesses Ella

·         Mask (for the ghost mysterious identity)

Costume, hair, make-up

Costume for our film will be casual everyday clothes (jeans, cardigans, trainers). Make-up (minimal). Hair will casual for Ella (in plats, tied up, ponytail), whereas the ghost will have straight black hair.

Lighting

As we are filming during the day we will be using natural lighting which will be low key, low contrast lighting. Also because we are filming in a house we are going to use standard lamps but may have to rely on ceiling lights to make the room brighter for filming.
