INT. LIBRARY – LATE AFTERNOON

Ella is sitting on a desk studying.

Mysterious person walks past and drops book

Ella bends down to pick up books

ELLA

 Excuse me, you dropped your-

Turns around and the mysterious person is gone

Puts the books onto the table and notices a more distinctive looking book and flicks through it. Suddenly she receives a text from her mother telling her to come home. She packs her bags and departs, leaving the mysterious books on the table.

     CUT TO:

INT: ELLAS HOUSE – EVENING

Ella starts to unpack her bags and the book she thought she left in the library is there. Thinking she must have mistakenly taken it she starts to read through it thoroughly. She comes across a page and reads a curse

ELLA

(VOICEOVER)

As you read this verse

And see this curse

The Goddess of Cryus

Will do her worst

Let it hold you to your death and you will have nothing left

As it takes over your world

Your madness will unfold

Stop before you can or you will kill every man.

She finishes reading the book and leaves the living room walking out to the corridor.

CUT TO: CORRIDOR

She passes a mirror and we do not see her reflection. The camera is still in the same position as she walks back to the mirror looking stunned. She looks in the reflection and it is back to normal. Shaking her head in confusion she leaves off to her bedroom.

     CUT TO: BEDROOM

Ella enters her bed ready to sleep. As she starts to sleep she begins to act restless and is having nightmares in her dreams. She tosses and turns in her sleep as we see fades and dissolves of the ghost in her dreams trying to kill and scare her.

Morning: Ella wakes up abruptly from her terrible nightmare by a phone call. She picks it up and receives a phone call from her friend.

ELLA

Uh hello

(Starts stuttering)

 Hey, yeah umm I’m alright just you know had a–a bad d-d-dream. Alright then I don’t mind meeting up. See you in an hour or something.

    

INT. CANTEEN – DAY

Ella is sitting in the canteen with her friend Anastasia talking to each other about friends.

ANASTASIA                                            ELLA

Oh my gosh did you hear about

Jessica breaking up with Josh

last week.

 (Scratching herself and looking

 around the room unsteady)

Umm well I uh yeah dunno.

What’s up with you man, you

seem on edge. Calm down girl

take it easy you read too much!

 (Ella looks away from Anastasia

around the room then turns

back and sees Cyrus next

to her friend. She gets up and

starts screaming suddenly)

GO AWAY GO AWAY! LEAVE ME ALONE!

Ella what are you

talking about!

Look next to you. She’s there,

 she’s there. The person in my

dreams!

(Anastasia looks next

to her and sees nothing)

There’s nothing there.

JUST GO AWAY GO AWAY! LEAVE ME ALONE

(Ella runs away)

ELLA! Come back.

(Anastasia  follows her)

EXT: OUTSIDE ELLAS HOUSE

Ella runs to her door trying to get the keys out of her bag. The book appears in the bag and she turns even more frantic. She gets the keys and is trying to open the door. Suddenly the ghost of Cyrus appears in front of her and then there’s a black out to show that the ghost possesses her.

FADE TO:

Anastasia comes to Ella’s front yard and sees the front door opened. She walks into the house

ANASTASIA

ELLA! ELLA! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU! OI ARE YOU IN HERE!

(Goes up the stairs into Ella’s room)

She opens the door. The shot then shows the back of Ella holding a knife in her hand. Anastasia is in front of her in disbelief. We can tell that the ghost of Cyrus is in her as Cyrus’ ghost figure is being shown.
